Angela is an award winning photographer with over 15 years experience who enjoys "capturing the moment" and reflecting what beauty and light already exist around her. She does this through the use of different mediums such as black & white photography (film) and darkroom methods as in the hand application of liquid emulsion directly onto watercolor paper or fabric and printing the image onto the medium of choice, hand toning prints, applying the use of mixed media such as applique, quilting, embroidery, doll making or collage work using her photography as the base, or recently digitally altering and manipulating her color photography. She has exhibited in different galleries and shows throughout Ohio and California (of which she is a native) such as The Ohio All-Media Art Competition at the Coburn Gallery at Ashland University, The Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition in Columbus, OH, the FAVA Six-State Photography Show in Oberlin, OH and the Valley Arts Center in Chagrin Falls, OH to name a few. She has been an Ashland resident for 9 years.
